This blowing instrument made out of rams horn has been used in many cultures around the world. Unlike the more common cattle horn blowing instruments, the ram's horn is smaller and creates more high pitched eerie sound. It can also make more diverse sounds by controlling the air flow with your fingers in either the end of the horn or with holes drilled into the side. But it is also more difficult to play than the cattle horn and requires more practice to master.
When played with the correct technique, this instrument makes a beautiful powerful sound. Horns are to be played by blowing into the mouthpiece with lips pressed together similar to a trumpet.
